MEET THE AGENT
MONET MARTIN
My name is Monet Martin, and I’m excited to introduce myself to you. I am a Midwestern raised, Colorado transplant and have been living in Colorado Springs since 1997. Professionally I have a long history of selling industrial steel throughout the United States. I started selling steel in Chicago in 1993. I moved to Colorado and sold for the Pueblo, CO steel mills for 17 years. I currently represent a steel mill in British Columbia, Canada and am the Eastern US sales rep covering Utah to the east coast. I am incredibly blessed to have this wonderful “day job” to help provide for my family (husband and 3 children), but after 30 years of selling carbon steel I have been restless to add something new and interesting to my “portfolio.”
I have known Sean Sheridan as a close family friend for the past 25 years. In our friendship I have admired his photography, his journalism, and his insight of the world. I have always valued his firsthand accounts of life beyond our borders into lands few people in our circle travel to. Sean is amazing to spend time with as he shares stories of people enduring some of the hardest situations on earth – often beyond our imagination and comprehension. He has often described the burden that comes with what he experiences in these places, but he also has a way of seeing the hope that people find despite the difficult circumstances they are in. This is what Sean captures in his photography and why his work is like none other.
In July of 2024, I approached Sean and asked him if he would consider teaming up with me to help promote his work. We both found a common thread that the beauty he captures through a camera lens could bless others, with his images of the world, placed on the walls of homes and businesses here in the United States. Sean has many thousands of images he has shot over the past 25 years, from his Colorado Springs home base, to his British Columbia childhood home, to the almost 100 countries he has worked in. I was fully intrigued by the fact that all of this beautiful work is carefully organized and resides in his computers and the prints in his office.
I am honored that Sean has allowed me to partner with him in getting his work into the hands of others. We are digging through the archives to share a small smattering of his vast collection, and we are excited to offer these to the public and are working hard to get them in front of you. We want to include you in this journey and are excited to talk to you on how best fill your spaces with these amazing images that will bring beauty into your space.
